The Trials and Tribulations of a Frog and a Computer

  Hello fellow readers! The frog is back! To celebrate my return, I wanted to redesign the Froggy Army's official website to give it a fresh and clean look. For those who don't know, or just haven't had the time to check out the frog's other activities, I am the proud leader and founder of the Froggy Army. For more information about it, please check out the official website (in which this post is based on).

Planning Out the Perfect Layout

    When beginning the website redesign, I first asked myself the important question that all creative endeavors require- What is the purpose or goal for this website? When I asked myself this question, two answers came to mind, 1.) to introduce the Froggy Army to new members and 2.) to keep current members up to date. 

    With these two goals in mind, I was able to move on to the next step in the process, coming up with pages that pertain to each area of the Froggy Army. I knew that I wanted keep the business side of the Froggy Army separate from the lore. This led to the creation of my personal favorite page, the Character Gallery, where I can share brief introductions to the characters of the Froggy Army. 

    

    The Character Gallery is a great tool for making sure that my website feels fresh, as it will be updated consistently with new character introductions and photo collections featuring said characters. This means that old viewers will want to return to keep up with the Froggy Army lore and new viewers will be able to easily catch up without feeling left out. I'm glad that I finally have a way introduce the Froggy Army's history without throwing someone face first into a page full of confusing Instagram posts. Trust me, it leads to lots of unanswerable questions. 

Final Thoughts

    Through the updating process of this website, I was able to put myself in the role of someone who has never experienced the magic of the Froggy Army. As the leader of the Froggy Army, I hope that this website will become a staple in the Froggy Army's operations. I think it will be a while before I consider completely remodeling the website.
